God is Angry

Macbeth Act II Scene 4

Poor old man doesn't even get a name.

If we viewed the world the way people in Shakespeare's day did, then we would believe that natural disasters were evidence of God's anger. We must have been behaving very badly lately.

In this scene, Ross and the Old Man discuss strange natural events since Duncan's murder.
